Duties and Responsibilities:

• As a member of the project team the, Workday HCM Analyst will act as the Workday subject matter expert (SME) on all Workday related projects under guidance from the Workday IT Service Delivery Lead.  He/she will work closely with the System Integrator (SI) team, and internal leadership and end users, as well as IT and be overall responsible for the day – to – day Workday support for the global HR team.

• The Analyst will have Configuration responsibilities on Core HCM, Security, Benefits, Absence and Recruiting. Responsible for supporting the internal HRIS team for activities related to HR. Should possess strong knowledge in core HCM and preferably good knowledge in Compensation, Benefits, Absence and Recruiting.

• The Workday Analyst will responsible for creating Reports for the HR team as needed. Support year-end Compensation module launches, Open Enrollment and other HR annual cycle activities. Ideal candidates to have Workday certification in HCM, Benefits or Absence.

• Support US and global Payroll integrations, troubleshoot Benefits Integration feeds from Workday to various global vendors as well as other Workday integration feeds in liaison with the Application managed services vendor.

• Within the project, he/she will foster a genial work environment, ensure that information is effectively communicated among all team members and that clear guidelines exist for project standards and procedures. He/she will be required to work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the alignment of the project vision.

• The incumbent will possess a good knowledge of Workday HRIS and a cross section of application components.  This includes a high-level understanding of the business processes and functions.

• Prioritizes workday deliverables based on criticality and be able to support multiple HR teams and set expectations for all Workday deliverables. Train internal HR operations team members as needed. 

• Follows internal IT Change Management protocols; and best practices for SDLC and project management; helps develop standards, processes around project management, prioritization.

• Ability to work with the SI, contribute as an SME in the deployment of HR Admin, Compensation planning, Talent, Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Time and Attendance, Succession Planning, Recruiting, and Payroll.

• Performs other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management. 

Essential Skills and Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in related roles (including a minimum of 4 years of demonstrated IT project management experience) in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment.

• Advanced (MS/MA) degree is preferred

• ITIL Foundations Certification is preferred

• Experience with Workday HRIS is preferred

• Understanding of GDPR requirements at a high level is preferred

• Direct and demonstrated Workday experience, preferably at least 3 years including experience being part of large, complex, enterprise-wide, Workday HRIS projects.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including extensive/applied experience using MS Project and SharePoint.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.

• Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. 

• Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.
